Job Vacancy: Mr Price Store Assistant

Purpose:

Support and assist the Store Manager in managing the daily operations of a Mr Price Money Cellular store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stock Management:
  • Ensure accurate stock receipt, unpacking, merchandising, and replenishment of the sales floor.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate stock loss risks and maintain adequate stock.
  • Maintain the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
  • Assist in authorizing write-offs, breakages, recalls, cellular repairs, and returns.
• Sales Growth & Profitability:
  • Analyze sales & profitability reports to collaborate on operational action plans, increase sales performance, and monitor expenditures.
  • Monitor in-store product performance and provide feedback to support center to enhance sales.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing and competitor shopping analysis.
  • Drive credit, insurance, mobile, and cellular performance to achieve the budget.
• Risk Management:
  • Assist in conducting compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Customer Experience Management:
  • Implement customer experience processes to meet customer service standards.
• Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and drive the team to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy.
  • Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
  • Recruit, administer, and manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 3 Years’ Experience in Retail Cellular (Supervisory or Management experience advantageous)
• Mobile Sales experience
• Understanding of Sales & Service Management
• Budgeting Skills
• Computer Literate
• Good Communication Skills
• Understanding of Retail Trade
• Brand, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance product understanding
