The role of Head of Media Sales is a data-driven media sales role that requires commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the value of 1st party customer data, the ability to identify sales opportunities and analyze campaign performance. The Head of Media Sales role is an integral part of the business in that it also involves the management of external partners and collaborations.

Job Objectives
- The Head of Media Sales has the primary role of leading the non FMCG sales strategy, overseeing activities of our 3rd party clients and monitoring performance as a whole.
- The Head of Sales defines and communicates the business’s KPIs and targets to the sales personnel on a regular basis, analyses patterns in consumer and market behavior, and subsequently defines data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimize commercial performance.
- Responsible for setting the omni-channel (in-store and digital) sales strategy for Rainmaker Media, leading 3rd party media partnerships and ensuring best in class campaign executions.
- Formulate the KPIs for each media channel.
- Drive advertising revenue growth by developing data-led precision marketing solutions for 3rd party and media agency advertisers.
Identify opportunities for new business growth and grow client base. - Use data and insights to improve partner relationships specifically focusing on customer retention and ultimately driving sales growth.
- Provide industry and product expertise on market and competitive conditions to lead to better strategic decisions.
- Work with the finance and data team to advise on reporting templates by objective/package.
- Responsible for non FMCG sales strategy and target setting.
- Identifying media sales opportunities and packaging omni channel media propositions.
Qualifications
- Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree level ideally in marketing, media or similar field.
Experience
- 5+ years working experience in Retail Media sales (Instore & Digital).
Knowledge and Skills
- Possess superb knowledge and experience in leading and managing Retail Media.
- Strong project management skills – prior experience of managing (leading) projects involving cross functional
- teams is preferred.
- Confident in presenting analysis, diagnosis and solutions to senior management.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, and priority setting.
- Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in Retail Media.
- Experience in managing a sales team.
